If your Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator (LCCE) certification is up for renewal, you may recertify by submitting 25 contact hours of continuing education that relate to at least one of the Lamaze Competencies.
Approved Providers
You can earn credit through Lamaze International by completing continuing education activities through the following approved providers.
- Lamaze International
- Accredited colleges and universities (1 credit hour equals 15 contact hours)
- ACOG, ACNM, ADA, AMA, ANCC, APTA (Women’s Health), APA, APHA, AWHONN (including update services) (International equivalents are accepted when the organization or institution serves a comparable regulatory or professional function in the LCCE’s home country (e.g., national nursing, midwifery, or health education council).
- DONA International, IBLCE, ICEA, NASW, NCC
- Any state nurse’s association or board of nursing (International equivalents are accepted when the organization or institution serves a comparable regulatory or professional function in the LCCE’s home country.)
- Programs approved by professional associations or healthcare agencies
