The Birthwell Birthright Lamaze Childbirth Educator Training Program offers a comprehensive, evidence-based pathway for professionals seeking Lamaze certification in Australia and the Asia–Pacific region. Led by Tanya Cawthorne—Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator, former President of Lamaze International, and highly experienced perinatal educator—the program provides an engaging, inclusive, and research-driven learning experience grounded in the Lamaze Six Healthy Birth Practices.
Participants gain a deep understanding of physiological birth, adult learning pedagogy, trauma-informed and culturally responsive teaching, and practical facilitation skills needed to confidently support today’s expectant families. The training combines interactive instruction, hands-on activities, and personalised mentoring throughout the certification process.
Ideal for doulas, midwives, nurses, allied health professionals, and those seeking a meaningful career in perinatal education, Birthwell Birthright’s Lamaze program equips graduates with the knowledge, skills, and professional support to deliver high-quality childbirth education in both community and clinical settings.
