Birthing Babies VA’s seminar is a three day total immersion experience aimed at teaching prenatal educators about using evidence to support their teaching, how to’s of teaching people of childbearing age, preparing for certification, and launching their childbirth education business.

In 2020, Birthing Babies VA moved all trainings online and we chose to keep them online because we love it! That means you will have resources to go back to through your certification journey. That's right, you keep the online materials for 3 years! The classes are a combination of prerecorded modules and assignments with LIVE meetups throughout the day. Live meet ups take place at 9am, 12pm, and 3pm Eastern Standard Time and last approximately 30 minutes, but longer if needed. The goal is to give you accountability and the opportunity to ask questions, share, and connect with your classmates.

Other details you may want to know:
-Completion of this class awards 26.5 Lamaze Contact Hours and Nursing CEUs by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
-Blake has trained 100s of childbirth educators and is only a phone call/text/zoom meetup away if you need her.
-Seminar participants are invited to join a FREE online exam prep course that has both live and prerecorded content.
-Participants are encouraged to start building and teaching their courses as soon as they are ready after the training!

Seminar Schedule (Eastern Time):
Day 1 & 2: Live sessions at 9am, 12pm, and 3pm. Module based learning online between sessions and afterwards. Most participants will be able to complete all modules by 6pm.
Day 3: Live sessions at 9am and 12pm. Module based learning and wrap up activities between sessions. Most participants will be able to complete all assignments by 1:30pm.
The course modules each consist of a variety of videos, reading materials, activities, and podcasts. A little something for all learning types! There are additional options to expand your understanding beyond required coursework throughout. You can come back to these modules for 3 years as you prepare for the exam and design your course.
