National Breastfeeding Month (#NBM24) is recognized annually in August. Officially declared as a “national month” by the U.S. Breastfeeding Council in 2011, this observance invites organizations and individuals to create awareness about the policy and practice changes needed to build a landscape of support for babies and families. 

Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educators (LCCEs) play an important role in providing education to expectant and new parents about the benefits and techniques of breastfeeding / body feeding. They offer continuous support, encouragement, and skills to mothers for the early days and weeks of breastfeeding/body feeding.
