The FACCE credential honors Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educators who have made exceptional contributions to the field of perinatal education. Whether through teaching, advocacy, research, leadership, or public outreach, FACCE designees embody the highest standards of excellence and professional commitment.
This prestigious designation also reflects a deep dedication to the Lamaze Philosophy of Birth and to advancing equitable, evidence-based care for families around the world.
FACCE Application
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Applicants who apply before October 1 will be notified of the Certification Council’s decision and, if approved, recognized during the Annual All-Member Meeting in December.
All applications will be reviewed by the Certification Council.
Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for FACCE induction, applicants must meet all of the following:
- LCCE in good standing for at least three years
(Certification must be maintained to retain the FACCE designation)
- Current Lamaze International member
(Membership must be maintained to retain the designation)
- Submit a one-page typed statement describing your contributions to childbirth education. Examples may include:
- Submit a letter of support from a colleague or supervisor affirming your professional accomplishments and impact.
- A résumé may be submitted in addition to the statement (optional but encouraged).
- Submit a $60.00 USD non-refundable application fee payable via credit card.
