Why should I attend LamazeLIVE!?
At Lamaze, we pride ourselves on providing the highest-quality educational content that keeps you informed and able to offer parents education and care that is rooted in current evidence. As a perinatal professional, it is critical that you commit to growing with the profession and staying in the forefront of best-practices. Attending LamazeLIVE! is not only a great way to earn valuable continuing education for recertifications, but an investment in your continued professional development!

I’ve never been to a virtual conference, what can I expect?
LamazeLIVE! 2024 will be hosted on a virtual event platform that allows attendees to connect via live educational sessions and networking opportunities. We will have four tailored networking sessions that will allow participants to meet like-minded colleagues based on similar interests, locations, professions, etc. We will also have message boards, instant messaging, an attendee directory, and virtual exhibitor hall to keep you connected throughout the event. We aim to make all of our virtual events as tech-friendly as possible! 

What type of Continuing Education (CE) credits can I earn at LamazeLIVE!?
All participants may earn Lamaze Contact Hours and Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) credits. Attendees may also earn CERPs for lactation-related pre-conference sessions. Lamaze is an approved provider of CNE through the California Board of Registered Nursing, approved provider #15932. Lamaze is a long-term provider of CERPs, approved provider #CLT108-12. All sessions will be eligible for Lamaze Contact Hours, which may be used towards LCCE recertification. Final CNE and CERPs hours will be published with the full conference program in early 2024.

How many hours of CE can I earn at LamazeLIVE!?
Attendees may earn at least 12.0 Lamaze Contact Hours for attending the regular program on March 7 and 8. Add an additional 3.0 Contact Hours for attending the pre-conference sessions for a total of 15.0 hours of CE!

Can I earn partial CE if I don’t participate in all of the sessions?
Yes.

What do I need to do to earn my CE certificate?
All participants will need to complete a conference evaluation to earn their CE certificate. Our virtual event platform will also track participation in sessions for auditing purposes.

How do I participate in LamazeLIVE!?
Lamaze will host LamazeLIVE! 2024 on a virtual event platform that will allow attendees to interact with one another throughout the event and in the months after the conference. All attendees will receive an email with log-in instructions in the days leading up to the event. We will utilize embedded Zoom webinars and meetings for live sessions. We recommend participating in the conference from a computer for the best experience.

What if I can’t participate in the live sessions or miss a session?
Participants may watch the live session recordings and on-demand sessions in the virtual platform until September 8, 2024. Live session recordings will be available within 48 hours of the live presentation.

Our network of Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educators are thought leaders, researchers, advocates, and evidence-based practitioners who are helping parents make informed decisions and supporting safe and healthy births around the globe. Our Lamaze community reaches parents at a transformational time in their lives and guides them through the journey from pregnancy to parenthood. Do you have any tips for getting my employer to fund my conference registration?
Certainly! Use this justification letter template to make the case for your employer to pay for some or all of your conference registration. Consider speaking with your company’s HR department to see if they have scholarship or professional development funds available.
