Providing Documentation
Recertification applications require supporting documentation for all credits. Lamaze audits 10% of applications, and if selected, you may need to provide additional details for each program. Keep digital and physical copies of your documents. If insufficient evidence is provided, you'll need to submit more credits, or your application may be denied, and your credential revoked.
Recertification by Exam
Alternatively, instead of renewing your certification with continuing education contact hours, you may choose to recertify by retaking and passing the Lamaze Certification Exam, which is offered once a year. The exam fee is $300, or $340 if your certification has lapsed.
Please note: if you choose to recertify by exam, you do not need to pay the separate recertification fee—only the exam fee applies.
