Your birth is an event you will remember forever. Need proof? Call up your mother or grandmothers and ask them to recount their birth stories (if you haven't already) - you'll be amazed at the details they can recall! In addition to those memories, recording and preserving your birth story in written form can help you better process and remember some of the smaller details and feelings from the day. You may think writing out your birth story isn't important, but I promise that years later, you will thank your younger self.
For some, creating a birth story involves writing it out, minute by minute, the events of the day, similar to writing a story (or a short novel!). For others, writing feels intimidating or annoying and the tendency is to want to skip it altogether! If you're in the latter group, we have a solution for you. Check out our fill-in-the-blank birth story template below! Simply click on the image to download and fill-in-the-blanks in our quick and easy template. We've tried to think of as many details and questions you'd want to know about, but of course, you can always add more (or less).
