When you register for a Childbirth Education Project (CEP) workshop, you become part of our community of vibrant learners. Led by program director Robin Elise Weiss, Ph.D., MPH, CLC, AdvCD(DONA), LCCE, FACCE, you are supported and celebrated as you start or continue your childbirth education career.
Upon registration, you are invited to become an engaged CEP learner, excited to become an effective and dynamic childbirth educator. Our workshops help you to embrace creativity, active learning, and evidence-based information. We use our time together efficiently, sharing information and resources that will be valuable to you as help families to be prepared and confident during the childbearing year. We understand the challenges of working independently or within a hospital system, and can help you to do both with confidence.
We model how to create a learning environment that families will rave about and that you will have fun facilitating for both in-person and virtual classrooms. You will be able to teach in either environment with confidence.
We support you after your workshop with ongoing community-building activities, events, and resources that keep you connected to your trainers, your cohort, and the CEP community of learners. Our program offers exam prep support as you work to earn the LCCE credentials, equity funding, and payment plans.
In a CEP workshop you can expect to:
Develop the confidence and skills to teach childbirth education classes to expectant parents
Receive resources and activities that families will rave about to use in your classes
Begin to earn your LCCE credentials
Be welcomed into an active community of like-minded educators
Gain valuable business information to launch or grow your own business
Participate in ongoing program offerings as an alum
Have access to trainers with more than 50 combined years of experience
Laugh and have fun
Celebrate diversity and differences
Appreciate evidence-based information and learn best practices for perinatal topics and adult education principles.
We cannot wait to welcome you into this workshop and into the CEP community.
