Series: Brilliant Activities for Birth Educators - Submit Your Favorite Teaching Activity for a Future Brilliant Activities Post
By: Sharon Muza, BS, LCCE, FACCE, CD/BDT(DONA), CLE | 0 Comments
Over the years, I have enjoyed learning how you have used, modified and applied the nearly 90 teaching ideas that have been shared in the Brilliant Activities for Birth Educators series focused on new and creative teaching ideas. The activities shared here have helped families feel prepared and confident as they get ready to birth and parent their babies. Through engaging teaching activities, learning becomes memorable for families, and easily applied when they are needing the information days, weeks or even months in the future. And the bonus is - while these activities make learning fun for participants, they also make it so much more enjoyable to teach childbirth education for the educator! Families in my classes don’t enjoy watching a slide deck and listening to the same voice drone on and on, and I don’t enjoy presenting content that way either! Both the families and the educators deserve to have fun, build community and receive/offer information in a format that helps people to master concepts and apply information.
Today, I am reaching out to ask you to consider submitting a fun, effective teaching idea to be featured in a future Brilliant Activities for Birth Educators post. There are so many talented, gifted and creative educators who read this blog. This is a call to action for you! If you have a favorite teaching activity that is a big hit every time you use it, now is the time to share so other educators can appreciate your idea and help the families in their classes. Maybe you have a method for teaching difficult topics that really supports families to understand important concepts. I invite you to share your favorite teaching activities with Connecting the Dots readers in our monthly Brilliant Activities for Birth Educators series.
If your BABE suggestion is selected, as Community Manager of Connecting the Dots, I will offer full support to keep the process simple and respectful of your time and effort. Use this handy form to submit your idea, and I will be in touch to confirm next steps.
Submit your suggestions here.
You can find all the previously posted Brilliant Activities for Birth Educators here. Your idea can be included for others to learn from and use. Submit now.
