In the Northern Hemisphere, summer days are beginning to show a hint of change. Fall beckons with some cooler mornings, a few leaves starting to turn and gardens overflowing with the harvest. For some of us, our thoughts turn to the upcoming Lamaze International certification exam. Registration for the exam is open now and will close on October 20th. The exam will take place November 8-10th all around the world.
I have covered the topics of Lamaze certification from many angles over the years on Science & Sensibility. I thought that people who are thinking about taking the upcoming exam or are already signed up would like some resources for preparation and information on the test.
I both personally and professionally believe that certification, and in particular, Lamaze International certification, is of great value. I wrote an entire blog post on a colleague's blog about the importance of the LCCE credential. If you are on the fence about certifying, it is well worth checking this article out.
I have run a series called "Journey to LCCE Certification, that covered one childbirth educator's path to passing the exam and becoming certified.
