Lamaze Announces 2021 Virtual Advocacy Summit
By: Molly Giammarco, MPP | 0 Comments
Lamaze is excited to host a three-day virtual event focused on international, federal, and state advocacy September 27-29, 2021. Through educational content-offerings and meetings with Congressional representatives, Summit attendees will have opportunities to earn CEUs and advocate for federal maternal health bills in U.S. Congress.
It’s an exciting time for maternal-health advocacy—on all levels. As an international organization, Lamaze brings together many perspectives and voices that enrich our united effort to improve childbirth outcomes by educating, supporting, and empowering women all over the world. While much of the world remains socially distant, the Lamaze 2021 Summit enables us all to gather, share our knowledge, stories, and passion about our profession.
Summit participants will hear from speakers from around the world, and in their backyard, on the latest in perinatal care, education, and advocacy. In addition to providing an array of educational offerings, attendees will have the option to attend meetings with their Congressional representatives to advocate for the many bills Lamaze currently endorses. Attendees will also hear from Lamaze leaders and learn about the exciting initiatives Lamaze Committees, workgroups, and volunteers are doing to enhance and grow Lamaze.
Stay tuned for more information about the Lamaze 2021 Advocacy Summit programs and start thinking about presentation ideas. Lamaze will accept Speaker Proposals through Wednesday, June 2, 2021
Registration for the Lamaze 2021 Advocacy Summit opens in June.
